Hi :) I really like this one! "Father break me of my own will." I think that needs to be a daily prayer. The other day during devotions, I read the verse that says, "delight yourself in the Lord and He will give you the desires of your heart." I was thinking about it, and I think that goes hand in hand with being broken of our own will. I think when we delight ourselves in the Lord, our attitude toward life, ourselves, God, and others changes and His will becomes our will. And life becomes so much more meaningful and colorful.
ReplyDeleteThanks Jane. God has been showing me that, yes; when we delight ourselves in the Lord He will give us the desires of our heart. There's an old hymn that says "Hast thou no seen how all thy longings have been granted in what He ordaineth." Delighting in Him certainly does necessitate the breaking of our own wills.
